The action of Perak DAP economic development bureau chief Chong Zhemin in questioning the government’s move of denying visas to two Israeli windsurfers attending a tournament in Langkawi has raised questions about the relationship between the party and Israel.

PAS research director (PPP) Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki said the matter was not new and had been raised by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s former special officer Mohamed Razali Abd Rahman four years ago.

“The allegation that was made by Mohamed Razali about DAP’s relationship with Israel is serious and is a threat to national security and the sensitivity of Muslims in Malaysia.

“Mohamed Razali has made about three allegations and until now there has been no clear denial from DAP,” he said at a Press statement.

Mohamed Razali had alleged that Israeli intelligence experts were involved to train the G17 or a group of 17 DAP strategists led by Tony Pua and Lim, who had gone back and forth to Singapore to meet with representatives of the Israel Embassy.

Zuhdi said DAP had been offered US$300 million (RM1.2 billion) during the last General Election and an Israel military base would be built as a reward for capturing Putrajaya.

“DAP has never denied or given explanations on these three allegations.”

“PPP sees that there is no other way for DAP to clear its name on these allegations, other than taking Mohamed Razali to court.

“The failure of DAP in denying these allegations raises the probability of the relationship between DAP and Israel,” he added.

In response, claims that DAP would build an Israeli military camp in Port Dickson if it were to capture Putrajaya was described as “utter rubbish”.

Penang Deputy Chief Minister and DAP deputy secretary-general Prof Dr P Ramasamy said the allegations held no “credibility”.

“How are we supposed to reply to these accusations?

“No one is interested to reply to that.

“When we reply we are giving some credibility to the accusations when there is no credibility to it,” he told
