Previously only available on the mobile versions of Facebook via its Messenger app, Facebook has now added support to send its extra large stickers via Web messaging both on the chat box and messaging windows. Before this, Web users were only able to receive stickers sent via mobile.

The Web support for stickers come a week after the company launched its first “branded” stickers, featuring characters from the new “Despicable Me 2″ movie. Unlike stickers on other mobile messaging apps such as LINE, which charges users to download sticker packs,  Facebook sticker packs remain free for download. The launch of branded stickers, however, opens up opportunities for Facebook to eventually introduced paid stickers, allowing the company to monetize yet another feature of the world’s largest social media site.
