PKR’s Azmin says summoned to MCMC to record statement over Sabah incursion #SabahIntruders

azmin-sex-aiskrimPKR deputy president Azmin Ali says he has been summoned to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) headquarters in Cyberjaya to have his statement recorded over the Sabah incursion.

He said he was asked to be present at 2pm Wednesday, adding that he would cooperate although his lawyers have not been able to get more information on why he has been summoned.

“I am trying to gather more information through my lawyer and so far all I have been told is that it has something to do with developments in Sabah,” Azmin told reporters at the PKR headquarters here.

Malaysian security forces launched an all-out offensive on March 5 against a group of armed Sulu militants from southern Philippines holed up near Lahad Datu, Sabah, after a two-week stand-off failed to end peacefully.

The ongoing Ops Daulat to flush the group out has resulted in the deaths of 57 gunmen and nine security forces personnel so far.
